Description BARGRIN II
BARGRIN II is a high-quality seed of red fescue (Festuca rubra commutata) intended for creating dense and resilient lawns. The leaves have a light-green color with a backlighting effect; a thin structure and beautiful texture make the surface even and pleasant to the eye.

The variety is distinguished by its high density and ability to withstand super-low (up to 4 mm) and low mowing heights, making it an ideal material for sports fields: golf greens, tennis courts, playgrounds, and stadiums. It maintains its qualities throughout the season, demonstrating excellent winter hardiness, as well as good drought and heat resistance, which allows for its use in both open sunny areas and shaded locations.

For sowing, 300–400 kg/hectare (3–4 kg/cent) is recommended, ensuring dense and thick growth. The seeds contain about 94% moisture, which accelerates plant development, while seed purity reaches 91%. Fescue grows on loose soils with good drainage but also develops successfully on clay and poor soils. With proper care, the need for fertilizers and irrigation is low; however, after excessive watering, the soil should be allowed to dry.

BARGRIN II is often used as a main component of lawn grass mixtures, where its share is at least 20%. Thanks to its thin narrow leaf (≈3 mm), dense coverage, and resistance to fungal diseases, it ensures uniform lateral growth and long-lasting coverage. This makes the variety in demand both as a single crop and in mixtures with meadow ryegrass for creating high-quality lawns.
