ASTA is a mixture of timothy (Dactylis glomerata L.), a valuable forage crop widely used in agriculture. The plant is well-suited for various types of livestock, especially horses, and is suitable for hay production as well as pasture use.
When growing ASTA, a maximum yield of up to 70 centners per hectare is achieved with a two-cut harvest. Plant height ranges from 20 to 120 cm, and the seeding rate is 15–20 kg/ha. Thanks to its high nutritional value and resistance to various climatic conditions, timothy ASTA ensures a stable forage flow for 2–3 years of crop life.
The crop is also widely used for creating lawn grass mixtures due to its dense structure and aesthetic appeal. ASTA seeds are produced by specialized seed companies that grow annual and perennial forage and pasture crops, nectar plants, as well as lawn grasses.
