Dill Sanaat

Reliable Ukrainian Selection in the Leafy Greens Segment

The 'Sanat' dill variety is a classic example of Ukrainian breeding, developed by experts at the 'Mayak' Research Station of the NAAS Institute of Vegetables and Melons. This variety has firmly established itself in the portfolios of both professional vegetable growers and home gardeners due to its predictable results. In the Ukrainian climate, it demonstrates excellent adaptability, making it a reliable choice for achieving consistent yields of marketable greens.

Agronomic Profile and Growth Characteristics

The variety is strictly intended for leafy mass production. Unlike late-flowering varieties, 'Sanat' stays in the vegetative stage for an extended period without premature bolting. This is critical for commercial production, as it provides farmers with a wider window of opportunity to bring fresh produce to market. The plant forms a lush rosette of dark green leaves with a pungent, distinct aroma typical of high-quality dill.

• Originator: Mayak Research Station, NAAS (Ukraine).
• Usage type: Leafy.
• Advantages: Temperature stress resistance and delayed bolting, allowing for an extended harvesting cycle.

The reputation of this variety is built on its low-maintenance nature. It is a workhorse that responds well to consistent irrigation and proper soil preparation. 'Sanat' does not require complex technological protocols, which reduces production costs and keeps it highly competitive in the local market.
