SAMOCVET is a unique variety of dill that stands out for its excellent aromatic qualities and unusual decorative appeal. The plant is early-maturing, with a maturation period from full emergence to harvesting for greens of 35-40 days, and for spices of 60-76 days. The leaves are of medium size, emerald green in color, moderately dissected, without a waxy coating, which allows them to maintain a rich color throughout the entire vegetative period. The leaf rosette is raised, and in the flowering phase the plant reaches a height of up to 95 cm and is adorned with a light red umbel, giving the dill special decorative value.
The variety is distinguished by high yield: the mass of one plant at harvest for greens is 15-20 g, and the yield reaches 1.6-2 kg per square meter at harvest for greens and 3.1-3.6 kg per square meter at harvest for spices. Additionally, SAMOCVET is resistant to light frosts, which expands the possibilities of its cultivation in various climatic conditions.
For sowing, it is recommended to use loamy or light loam, well-cultivated, neutral and fertile soils with sufficient moisture. Seeds are sown in autumn or early spring, and multiple spring-summer sowings are carried out with an interval of 10-12 days. The depth of seed burial is 1-2 cm, or seeds can be sown on prepared soil without burial, with mandatory mulching with peat to a thickness of 2-3 cm. Seedlings appear in 10-15 days. To ensure good growth, it is necessary to loosen the interrows, destroy weeds, and water the plants in time, as dill is light-loving and moisture-loving.
