RICHELIEU

Richelieu is a medium-late variety of dill that matures 40-42 days after germination and begins to flower 1-2 weeks later. Sowing seeds is recommended in the ground at the end of April to the beginning of May. Plants form a large rosette of leaves that have a lace-like, deeply cut structure and a bluish-green or grayish-green tint. The leaves possess a distinct aroma, which intensifies in the flowering phase when a large number of leaves appear on the stem. Plant height reaches 115-125 cm, with a semi-erect, leafy rosette that is 30-40 cm in height and weighs 20-25 g.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for growing both in open ground and protected conditions. Richelieu is valued for its ornamental quality and fragrance, allowing it to be used not only as a spice but also for garnishing dishes. Seeds mature in mid-August, which makes it possible to obtain both greens and spices within a single season.

The yield of the variety for greens ranges from 3.7 to 4.1 kg per square meter, and for spices from 2.9 to 5.9 kg per square meter. However, individual data indicate a green yield in the range of 1.2-1.7 kg/m² and spices of about 3.7 kg/m², which may depend on growing conditions. Thanks to its characteristics, the Richelieu variety is suitable for obtaining fresh greens and aromatic seeds with a rich aroma and attractive appearance.
