Broom — an early-maturing variety of bushy dill, developed by Spark Seeds (USA). This variety is characterized by a short vegetative period, ranging from 35 to 50 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant forms a large, well-branched rosette of leaves with a deep green color and a bluish tint, possessing a strong and intense dill aroma.
The Broom variety is distinguished by its high heat tolerance and resistance to overcrowding, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, including hydroponics. The plants have short internodes, resulting in denser and more robust rosettes. The weight of a single mature rosette ranges from 80 to 140 grams, and yields can reach up to 8 kg per square meter. Broom dill quickly recovers after cutting, allowing for 3–4 harvests per season.
This dill variety is suitable for fresh use, as well as for drying, pickling, and freezing. Thanks to its adaptability and high productivity, Broom dill is ideal for year-round cultivation and culinary processing. Seeds are available in packages of 100 and 500 grams, convenient for various planting scales.
