Parasoot — an early-maturing aromatic dill variety intended for cultivation in open and protected ground. From germination to technical maturity takes about 70 days. The plant is compact, reaching a height of 90-95 cm, and has basal rosettes at the stem base. The stem is dark green with a bluish tint, of medium length and diameter, covered with a strong waxy coating. Leaves are triangular in shape, of medium length, dark green with a grayish waxy coating, and highly dissected. The central umbel is large, convex, with a medium number of rays. The mass of one plant at harvest for greens is 30-35 grams, and for spices it is 90-110 grams.
The Parasoot variety is suitable for winter sowing, which can be carried out in late October, as well as for spring sowings in open ground at the earliest dates — in late April or early May. The sowing depth of seeds is 1-2 cm. To obtain greens in a continuous mode, it is recommended to carry out multiple spring-summer sowings with an interval of 15-20 days until mid-August. The plant is cold-hardy: seeds germinate at a temperature of 3-5°C, and seedlings easily withstand spring frosts.
Parasoot prefers loamy and light loam, well-cultivated neutral soils. The best predecessors for this variety are tomatoes, cucumbers, and cabbage. Dill of this variety is distinguished by large, very aromatic leaves, which are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for drying, salting, and freezing.
