Dill variety ANCHER is an early-maturing variety intended for growing greens and spices. Sowing seeds is recommended in the ground at the end of April – beginning of May. The plant forms an elevated rosette of leaves about 22 cm high, consisting of approximately 10 medium-sized, juicy, and green leaves with a delicate aroma. The mass of greens from one plant ranges from 20 to 38 grams, which provides an average yield for greens within 1.31-1.36 kg per square meter, and for spices – from 1.50 to 3.20 kg per square meter.
Variety ANCHER is distinguished by high yield and aromatic taste, as well as unpretentiousness in cultivation, which makes it suitable for various climatic conditions. Dill is widely used in cooking: its greens are suitable for drying, freezing, preparing various spices, as well as for pickling and marinating. The highest content of essential oils and vitamins is observed at the stage of leaf rosette, before the beginning of flowering, which makes this period optimal for collecting greens.
For successful cultivation of dill ANCHER, it is recommended to ensure regular watering and feeding, especially increasing the dose of nitrogen fertilizers before sowing. After the beginning of flowering, nitrogen fertilizers should be excluded, and watering reduced during seed formation. Such an approach contributes to obtaining a quality harvest of greens and spices. Dill ANCHER is a universal variety that is widely used in the food industry and in the household.
