LEAFY DILL

The 'Obilnolistny' dill variety is a medium-early plant with high yield and strong leafiness. It features a compact bush with an elevated rosette of medium-sized, deeply cut leaves that are green with a waxy coating. The greens are juicy, tender, and have a bright aroma, making this variety ideal for use in salads, soups, meat dishes, as well as for drying, freezing, preparing spices, pickling, and marinating.

The variety is resistant to bolting and possesses good resistance to diseases and pests such as downy mildew, foamy blight, and powdery mildew. To prevent diseases, it is recommended to practice crop rotation, disinfect seeds, remove plant residues, and ventilate greenhouses. At the first signs of disease, dill should be treated with copper hydroxide solutions or Bordeaux mixture. Regular watering and fertilizing are necessary during cultivation, as well as avoiding overcrowding of crops to reduce the risk of disease development.

Seed sowing is carried out in open ground or greenhouses in late April–early May at a depth of 1-2 cm with an interval between sowings of 10-12 days, which allows for multiple spring-summer harvests. The mass of one plant at harvest for greens is 20-25 grams, and the yield reaches 3-3.4 kg per square meter. Winter sowing is also possible. Due to its characteristics and ease of care, 'Obilnolistny' dill is suitable for both individual growing and wholesale use.
