Description GRENADEER
Grenadeer is an early-maturing fennel variety, intended for cultivation for both greens and spices. The maturation period is from 30 to 42 days depending on the harvest purpose: 30-35 days for green harvest and 70-90 days for spice collection. The plant forms a large raised rosette 20-29 cm high with 10-12 large green leaves 15-20 cm long, which possess high aroma and excellent taste qualities. The greens differ in tenderness and juiciness, making the variety in demand for culinary use.

The variety is characterized by stable and high yield: for greens it is from 1.4 to 3.1 kg per square meter, and for spices - from 2.9 to 5.7 kg per square meter. The mass of one plant at harvest for greens reaches 30-40 grams. Grenadeer is unpretentious in cultivation, adapts well to open and protected ground conditions, including flow cultures. Sowing seeds is recommended in late April - early May with a sowing rate of 10-15 kg per hectare.

The variety is resistant to lodging and has good resistance to the main diseases of fennel, such as powdery mildew, phoma and downy mildew. For disease prevention, seed disinfection, crop rotation and destruction of plant remains after harvesting is recommended. Thanks to these qualities, Grenadeer is a reliable choice for obtaining quality greens and spices with high yield.
