Dill Tenderness

Why "Nezhnost" is the Choice for Fresh Consumption

"Nezhnost" dill from the "Poisk" agricultural firm is a classic leaf-type cultivar, specifically bred for high yield of lush, aromatic greens. Unlike late-flowering umbrella varieties, this dill focuses its energy on producing succulent foliage rather than early seed production.

Key Advantages

• Intensive Growth: The variety shows a high regrowth rate after cutting, making it a profitable solution for both home gardeners and small-scale farms.
• Bolting Control: The biggest frustration for growers is premature flowering. "Nezhnost" maintains its marketability for a significantly longer period, allowing for an extended harvest window.
• Flavor Profile: The leaves are remarkably tender (justifying its name, which translates to "Tenderness") with a well-balanced content of essential oils. It lacks the fibrous texture of older varieties, making it perfect for fresh use.

Who is this variety for?

"Nezhnost" is designed for those who need immediate results. If your goal is fresh, aromatic herbs for salads or consistent market supply, this cultivar is a reliable workhorse. However, keep in mind: to achieve maximum yield, the plants require consistent irrigation and nutrient-rich soil. In dry or poor-quality soil, the leaves may become stunted, and the signature aroma may lose its intensity.

Drawbacks

Like all dedicated leaf-type cultivars, "Nezhnost" is not suited for harvesting large quantities of seeds or for use in the flowering stage for canning. Its specialization is the leaf, which makes it superior for fresh eating but less versatile compared to dual-purpose varieties.
