Maize Agro Star

Reliable Yields Across Varying Conditions

The «Agro Star» hybrid by Euralis Semences is a testament to French breeding precision, designed for growers who demand consistency. It is a simple hybrid that thrives in diverse environments, proving its worth even when weather conditions are less than ideal.

Field Health and Disease Management

«Agro Star» simplifies this by offering robust natural resistance to major pathogens. The hybrid shows excellent tolerance against Helminthosporium, rust, and Fusarium. Most importantly, its resistance to root and stalk rots means that the crop stays upright until harvest, preventing the lodging issues that often lead to yield loss during the final, critical stages of the season.

Agronomic Profile and Sowing Strategy

• Grain Type: Flint-dent, which provides a great balance between grain weight and moisture dry-down speed.
• Hybrid Type: Simple, ensuring uniform development across the field, which simplifies harvest logistics.
• Primary Use: Grain production.
• FAO: 90–1240, offering flexibility for different climatic zones.

In high-input zones or irrigated fields, push to 80,000–85,000 plants/ha.

Field Performance Review

From an operator's perspective, «Agro Star» is a reliable performer. The grain threshes well, and the uniformity of the ears makes for efficient combining. For any farm focusing on bottom-line results, this hybrid represents a solid investment in disease-resistant genetics and predictable harvest quality.
