Gran 5

Corn Gran 5 is a simple mid-season hybrid with high yield and low grain moisture, making it an optimal choice for cultivation under Ukrainian climatic conditions, especially in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones. The plant reaches a height of 180 to 220 cm, and its cylindrical ear with 16 rows of kernels and 30-35 kernels per row ensures high grain output — up to 82-85%. The average yield of the hybrid is approximately 9.5 tons per hectare, corresponding to 73-76 centners per hectare depending on weather conditions and soil type.

Gran 5 is characterized by high drought, frost, and damage resistance, as well as low susceptibility to major corn diseases, including bacterial blight, fusarium, and helminthosporium, with resistance ratings of 7-8 points. The hybrid also demonstrates high stability under varying planting densities, enabling effective cultivation under different planting conditions, including zero-tillage technology.

The recommended planting density is 80-90 thousand plants per hectare under normal moisture conditions and 70-80 thousand under water deficit, which helps maximize the hybrid's potential. The intended use of Corn Gran 5 includes silage and grain production, making it versatile and profitable for agricultural enterprises aiming for high productivity and quality yields.
