Basil PEPERONI AROMA

A spicy accent for your garden: "Perechniy Aromat" basil

The selection work of Elizaveta Romanovna Kudryavtseva has introduced a unique basil variety to the market, distinguishing itself not only through its aesthetic appeal but also through its robust defense mechanism. "Perechniy Aromat" is the result of dedicated breeding aimed at creating a crop that balances culinary excellence with high resistance to pests.

Agricultural features and protection

Unlike traditional green varieties, this basil features saturated purple, large leaves. Reaching a height of 40–60 cm, it is an excellent choice for both open-ground beds and container gardening. A key advantage of this variety lies in its phytoncide properties. The dense texture of the leaves and specific essential oils create a natural barrier against thrips, flies, and mosquitoes, allowing for a significant reduction in chemical protection measures when grown in partial shade.

Culinary potential

The flavor profile of this variety fully justifies its name (which translates to 'Peppery Aroma'). Instead of the typical sweet notes, a sharp, intense peppery taste prevails. This makes "Perechniy Aromat" basil an indispensable ingredient for:

• Spicy salads that require a bold flavor accent;
• Homemade marinades, where the basil's spiciness enhances preserves;
• Kitchen greenery and culinary plating, thanks to the striking color of the foliage.

By choosing this variety, gardeners gain a stable plant resistant to adverse factors, which not only delights the eye with its deep purple hue but also fills the garden with a spicy aroma that naturally repels insects.
