Direct sowing in open ground is only possible in regions with a long frost-free period, once the soil has warmed up to 15-18 degrees Celsius. It is crucial to avoid late frosts, as young seedlings are extremely sensitive to low temperatures.

The sowing depth should not exceed 0.5–1 centimeter. Small seeds require firm contact with the substrate, so the soil surface should be gently pressed after sowing to improve capillary moisture absorption.

When using the seedling method, prick out the plants at the stage of two true leaves. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground 45–60 days after emergence, once the risk of night frosts has passed.

Maintaining optimal plant density is a critical factor, as overcrowded plantings promote the development of fungal diseases. The recommended spacing is 30x40 centimeters.
