Jantarina winter wheat is a medium-early variety of grain wheat bred by intraspecific stepwise hybridization. The plants are of medium height, reaching 81 to 98 cm, with semi-erect stalks and pyramidal, medium-density heads of white color. The grain is large, amber-light, and semi-elongated, ensuring high product quality meeting GOST requirements. The vegetation period ranges from 207 to 278 days, allowing the variety to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions.

The Jantarina variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the yield and facilitates harvesting. It possesses good winter hardiness and high drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, Azovian, and Southern zones of the Rostov region. Average yield in these regions reaches 44.2 centners per hectare, while maximum yield can reach up to 8.4 tons per hectare when agronomic requirements are met and a high crop background is utilized.

Additionally, the variety is characterized by resistance to a number of common diseases, including brown and yellow rust, powdery mildew, bunt and loose smut, and septoria. This significantly reduces the risk of yield losses and reduces the need for frequent fungicide application. The recommended sowing rate is 4.5-5.0 million viable seeds per hectare, which ensures optimal plant development and maximum productivity.
