Tata Mata

Wheat variety Tata Mata is a winter, awnless type with Saaten Union genetics, characterized by high drought resistance and heat tolerance. This variety features a medium-early vegetation period and strong tillering, promoting stable and high yields. Plant height ranges from 60 to 80 cm, and the 1000-seed weight is 40-45 g. Due to its early maturity, Tata Mata avoids the negative effects of high summer temperatures, which is especially important for hot-climate regions.

Tata Mata has good baking qualities, belonging to group A, making it valuable for milling and baking industries. The variety demonstrates high winter hardiness and excellent lodging resistance, as well as high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and root rots. Moderate resistance is noted against septoria and fusarium, requiring appropriate agronomic practices to maintain crop health.

Tata Mata is recommended for cultivation in areas with favorable conditions, including Dobruja, northwestern Bulgaria, as well as steppe, forest-steppe, and forested zones. The optimal seeding rate is 330-340 seeds per square meter or 5.5-6.0 million seeds per hectare. The variety exhibits vigorous growth both in autumn and spring, contributing to high yields and stable production across various climatic conditions.
