Ludixx is a super-sweet hybrid of sweet corn with an early maturity period of 65-70 days. The plant reaches a height of 150-170 cm, and the ears are cylindrical, 19-21 cm long, containing 18 to 22 rows of kernels. The ear weight ranges from 260 to 350 g, with kernels having an attractive yellow color and very sweet taste, making this hybrid particularly valuable for fresh markets and processing.
Ludixx corn is characterized by high disease resistance and excellent commercial and taste qualities. It requires warm, fertile, moist soils and grows well on sunny, wind-protected sites. For successful cultivation, crop rotation with predecessors such as potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, and peas is recommended, as well as planting after zucchini and other squash crops. Before sowing, seeds are preheated in the sun for 4-5 days and soaked in warm water to speed up germination. Sowing is carried out in mid-May when the soil is warmed to a depth of 5-7 cm, with light plastic mulching used to protect against frost.
Care for seedlings includes loosening the soil after rain to promote root development and weed control, as well as organic fertilization. Harvesting is conducted at the milk stage, before the kernels harden, to maintain high quality and sweetness of the ears. The remaining green mass can be used as animal feed, enhancing the economic efficiency of cultivation.
