Sudarynya is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) created as a result of scientific cooperation between the FGBNU «Verkhnevolzhsky FANTS» and the Scientific and Practical Center for Agriculture under the NAS of Belarus. The variety is mid-early, with waxy ripeness occurring at the end of July when sown in early May, which allows it to be grown in more northern non-chernozem regions. Sudarynya is characterized by low growth and high resistance to lodging, confirmed by an assessment of 8.4 points on a 9-point scale in varietal trials. The weight of 1000 grains ranges from 29 to 40 grams, while the ear is cylindrical and white.
The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including head diseases, powdery mildew, stem rust, and septoria, with moderate resistance to brown rust. Due to its high immunity, Sudarynya is well suited for normal and intensive cultivation technologies. When using fungicides intensively on the flag leaf, the variety shows a significant increase in yield, especially during epiphytotic years of brown rust.
The yield of the Sudarynya variety is consistently high and exceeds that of the best varieties by 6–8 centners per hectare. In favorable years, yields can reach 60 c/ha or more; in intensive cultivation conditions in Belarus, yields up to 77 c/ha have been recorded. To prevent lodging with such high yields, it is recommended to use retardants. Sudarynya is recommended for growing in the Northern, North-Western, Central and Volga-Vyatka regions, which confirms its adaptability and stability under various climatic conditions.
