Description NS 501
Corn NS 501 is a mid-late hybrid developed by the Institute of Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia. This variety belongs to FAO group 500 and is characterized by high yield, reaching 14 to 15 tons of grain per hectare under optimal conditions. Additionally, the variety demonstrates drought resistance and good agronomic traits, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Seeds are produced according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, ensuring their quality and ecological safety.

The stalk of corn NS 501 reaches a height of about 290 cm, is elastic, and resistant to lodging and breakage. The ear has a cylindrical shape with 14 rows of yellow kernels. The grain is of standard dent type, with a 1000-kernel weight of approximately 400 grams. Seeding density varies from 55,000 to 65,000 plants per hectare depending on growing conditions. When producing silage, it is recommended to increase seeding density by 10-15%, which allows obtaining up to 60 tons of silage per hectare.

NS 501 is widely used in agriculture for high grain and silage yields. The variety is characterized by stable yield, good resistance to diseases and pests, ensuring reliable and efficient production. Due to its characteristics, corn NS 501 is an optimal choice for farmers aiming for high productivity and product quality.
