SILANTIY

Silantiy is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), created at Stolypin Omsk State Agrarian University in 2022. It is characterized by large grain size, medium maturity, and high growth, with a semi-erect bush. The vegetative period ranges from 78 to 89 days, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 49 grams. The variety is distinguished by its resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the yield and facilitates harvesting.

Silantiy boasts high yield – average indicators range from 14.1 to 31.4 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield reaching 60.5 centners per hectare. It is resistant to main wheat diseases such as brown and stem rust, Septoria, and powdery mildew, and also demonstrates drought tolerance. These qualities make the variety a reliable choice for cultivation in Chelyabinsk and Omsk regions.

Additionally, the Silantiy variety is distinguished by excellent baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. Cultivation recommendations are oriented towards the Ural and West Siberian regions, where it has already been successfully applied. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and grain quality characteristics, Silantiy represents a promising variety for the agricultural sector.
