URALOSIBERIAN

The Uralosibirskaya wheat variety is a mid-late variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) with a vegetative period ranging from 78 to 93 days. This variety is characterized by medium height, with plant heights ranging from 80 to 96 cm and a 1000-kernel weight between 30-45 g. Uralsibirskaya wheat belongs to a semi-intensive type and has good drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Ural, West-Siberian, East-Siberian, Volga-Vyatsk, and Middle-Volga regions.

The variety is characterized by high yields, averaging 21.5-27 c/ha, while potential yields can exceed 60 c/ha. Uralsibirskaya wheat has excellent baking qualities: raw gluten content ranges from 26 to 37%, grain natural weight is 730-810 g/L, and bread volume reaches 970 ml. Protein content is about 12.3%, which is slightly lower than standard indicators, but the overall baking evaluation remains high. The variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, which helps preserve the yield.

Uralosibirskaya wheat demonstrates resistance to adverse environmental factors, including good drought tolerance and high resistance to brown and stem rust due to the presence of the wheat-rye translocation 1RS.1BL. However, the variety is moderately susceptible to brown rust, susceptible to common bunt and powdery mildew, and highly susceptible to root rots. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the variety is widely used in agriculture to obtain high-quality grain with good baking properties.
