Selenivka Odeska

The wheat variety Selenivka Odeska is a high-yielding universal variety recommended for cultivation throughout Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. This variety is distinguished by its high adaptability to various ecological and agrotechnical conditions, ensuring stable yields under changing environmental factors. The vegetation period is 278-283 days, classifying it as an early-maturing variety. High genetic potential allows yields ranging from 71.2 to 124.7 c/ha.

Selenivka Odeska is characterized by high frost and winter hardiness (7-9 points), drought resistance (7-8 points), and heat tolerance (9 points). Plants have a height of 96 to 110 cm with a semi-erect plant habit. The ear is cylindrical, 9-10 cm long, awned, with red, medium-sized kernels. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 37.6 to 43.5 g. The grain exhibits high quality characteristics: flour strength of 286-334 arbitrary units, gluten content of 29.8-33.1%, and protein content of 13.0-14.2%, making this variety valuable for cereal use.

The variety is produced by the company Prograin, and seeds are supplied under the supervision of breeders from the company PrAT "Selenia," one of the leading seed producers in Ukraine.
