Patriotka

Winter wheat variety Patriotka is a versatile variety with high genetic yield potential. This variety has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2017 and is recommended for cultivation in Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia zones. Patriotka belongs to the lutescens type, characterized by medium height (100–120 cm) and resistance to lodging, confirmed by a rating of 9 points. The grain of this variety is valued for its high quality, with average yields in the Forest-Steppe zone reaching 6.2 t/ha and in the Steppe zone — 5.4 t/ha. The Patriotka variety is characterized by high winter hardiness (7–8 points) and resistance to major diseases, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. It exhibits high drought resistance throughout all ontogenetic stages and is adapted to late sowing. Thanks to its high tillering ability during late autumn and early spring periods, as well as the formation of large ears, this variety ensures stable and high-quality grain. Patriotka belongs to the semi-intensive group of varieties, suitable for sowing after late predecessors such as sunflower and corn for grain. The variety is undemanding in cultivation conditions and responds well to increased fertilizer doses. Its adaptability to adverse weather conditions and ability to consistently produce yields make Patriotka an optimal choice for agricultural enterprises with low to medium levels of agrotechnology.
