Soft winter wheat variety Odesskaya 267 is a high-yielding medium-maturing intensive type variety intended for universal use in various agro-ecosystems. This variety is characterized by high ecological plasticity and resistance to unfavorable growing conditions, making it one of the least demanding varieties. It possesses high frost and drought resistance, as well as heat resistance corresponding to the standards of the steppe zone.
Odesskaya 267 demonstrates high resistance to a number of diseases, including yellow rust, septoria, powdery scab and solid stem rust, powdery mildew, Fusarium head blight and brown rust, which significantly reduces yield losses and increases production stability. In addition, the variety is characterized by high resistance to root emergence and shattering, as well as medium resistance to lodging, which facilitates harvesting and improves grain quality.
The grain quality of the Odesskaya 267 variety belongs to the strong wheat group with a high gluten content (28-30%) and protein (13.0-13.9%). Flour strength is 280-350 units, and the volume of bread from 100g of flour reaches 1480 cm³, providing a high bread rating of 4.8 points. Sowing rate is 4.5-5.0 million advanced grains per hectare, which helps to achieve an average yield in the Steppe and Forest Steppe zones at the level of 6.67 t/ha.
