CORUND is a medium-early winter wheat hybrid with FAO 250, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones. The plant is tall, not bushy, with a spike attachment height of 100-110 cm. The spike is cylindrical in shape, 21-22 cm long, and contains 16 rows of grains with a red rachis. The grain is yellow-orange in color, chaffless, with a 1000-grain weight of 300-310 g. The hybrid is characterized by intense moisture release from the grain, which contributes to rapid maturation and facilitates harvest.
CORUND has high resistance to drought and heat, as well as to lodging of roots and stems, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in complex weather conditions. Additionally, it is resistant to diseases such as powdery and bunt smut, as well as fusarium mold. The recommended pre-harvest plant density varies by region: 50-55 thousand pcs./ha in the Steppe zone, 80-85 thousand pcs./ha in the Forest-Steppe, and 85-90 thousand pcs./ha in the Polesie. The potential grain yield reaches 10.0-12.0 tons/ha.
The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions, which allows for a significant increase in yield with an optimal agronomic approach. High moisture release of grain and resistance to lodging ensure quality and timely harvest. CORUND is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including areas with increased aridity, making it a universal and promising variety for agricultural production.
