Odessa Version is a universal winter wheat variety of intensive type, intended for cultivation on various agro-ecological backgrounds with a wide range of environmental conditions and variable climate. The variety is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability, especially to droughty steppe conditions, due to its xeromorphic structure and high productive tillering. The vegetation period is 280-284 days, which corresponds to the average maturity group. Plant height varies from 78.6 to 93.7 cm, and the ear contains 62 to 82 grains, ensuring high yield.
Odessa Version wheat is characterized by high productivity — yield reaches 11.0-12.5 t/ha (110-125 ц/ha). The grain has excellent baking qualities: gluten content is 29-33%, and protein — 13.2-14%. The variety is resistant to drought, heat, frost, as well as to a number of diseases, including rust, septoria, pyrenophorosis, and powdery mildew. It also demonstrates resistance to lodging and shattering, which helps maintain yield.
Odessa Version responds well to application of mineral fertilizers, especially nitrogen-based ones, although excessive doses may lead to lodging. It is recommended to grow on non-rotational predecessors, observing standard sowing dates depending on region and soil condition. The variety is suitable for cultivation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine and is recommended for intensive farming technologies. Producer — company "Rost Agro", seed packaging is done in big bags of 1 ton and bags of 50 kg.
