Coraloviy — a variety of winter soft wheat, distinguished by its medium maturity and high productivity. The ear of this variety has a straw-yellow color, prismatic shape, and dense structure, while the grain exhibits a red hue with moderate awns. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various agroecological zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions, and is well adapted to intensive farming technologies, including irrigation.
Coraloviy demonstrates high winter hardiness (4.3–4.7 points) and resistance to lodging and shattering (both 4.8 points), ensuring stable yields. The variety also exhibits moderate drought resistance (4.2 points) and a relatively low level of susceptibility to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, and fusarium. Yield ranges from 44.9–58 c/ha, with protein content in grain ranging from 11.5–13.9 %, and gluten content from 24.1–29.2 %, making this variety suitable for bakery use with a quality rating of 3.7–4.5 points.
In addition to agricultural value, wheat Coraloviy is also used for decorative purposes. Naturally colored coral-yellow ears, carefully dried, are used to decorate cocktails and other beverages, giving them an elegant and refined appearance. Thanks to their natural beauty, shape, and texture, these ears harmoniously fit into various bar concepts, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and natural charm.
