DK 312 — a mid-early hybrid corn, intended for grain cultivation, included in the State Register for the Lower Volga region. The plant has medium height with a long ear and medium-length stalk. The grain is dent-shaped, yellow at the top. The tassel has a medium flowering time, weak anthocyanin coloration of the glumes and silk. The main tassel axis is higher than lateral branches, which are slightly curved and have a medium number of branches. The average yield in the region is 26.9 c/ha, exceeding the standard by 3.2 c/ha, confirming the hybrid’s high productivity. DK 312 has high resistance to several diseases, including southern helminthosporium and bacterial blight, while being very weakly affected by common smut. However, it shows significant damage from ear and stalk fusarium and corn borer. Due to its disease tolerance and high drought resistance, this hybrid demonstrates stability and reliability under various climatic conditions. DK 312 is recommended for cultivation under various agronomic practices, including conventional, minimum tillage, and No-Till. The hybrid is suitable for sowing at soil temperatures of 8 °C and can be used both in monoculture and crop rotation. Recommended planting density varies depending on the moisture zone: 60,000–65,000 plants per hectare in unstable moisture conditions and 70,000–75,000 plants per hectare under sufficient moisture. Additionally, DK 312 can be used for silage production, expanding its application potential in agriculture.
