KAMENKA

Kamenka is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of the lutescens type, characterized by medium maturity and a vegetative period from 78 to 97 days. The plant is of medium height with a semi-upright bush and a medium-density white spike. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 43 grams. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central and Volga-Vyatka regions, particularly in Vladimir and Kirov oblasts, where it shows high yield and resistance to adverse conditions.

Kamenka yields about 36.1 c/ha in the Central region and 36.8 c/ha in the Volga-Vyatka region, with maximum figures up to 76.6 c/ha recorded in Vladimir Oblast. The variety is resistant to lodging and drought at the level of the Sudarynya standard, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Under field conditions, Kamenka is weakly affected by powdery mildew, moderately by root rots and septoria, but is susceptible to brown rust and powdery bunt.

Kamenka has good baking qualities, making it valuable for the production of food wheat. At the same time, the variety can also be used as fodder wheat for animal husbandry, thanks to its high content of protein, vitamins B and E, as well as lysine and phosphorus. This ensures the nutritional value of the grain for compound feeds. The moisture of the grain during storage should not exceed 15%, which is important for maintaining quality and preventing spoilage.
