Winter wheat "Odesskaya Heritage" is a high-yielding and adaptable variety recommended for cultivation in various agroclimates, including the Forest Steppe and Polesie zones. The vegetation period lasts 280-284 days, with plants reaching a height of up to 104 cm and exhibiting productive tillering of 820-950 stems per square meter. The ear is pyramidal in shape, large, and well-kerned, with red, elongated grains weighing 38-40.5 grams per 1000 seeds.
The variety is distinguished by high baking qualities of the grain: gluten content ranges from 29-33%, protein from 13.2-14%, and flour strength varies between 320-380 arbitrary units. "Odesskaya Heritage" demonstrates resistance to drought, heat, frost, and pre-harvest sprouting and lodging. Additionally, the variety shows tolerance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, various types of rust, septoria, pyrenophora, and downy mildew.
Developed by the Selection-Genetic Institute of the National Center for Seed Production and Variety Development, this variety is universal and adapted to variable climatic conditions and requirements of Ukrainian soils, enabling yields of 11.0-12.5 tons per hectare. Thanks to its ecological adaptability and resistance to adverse factors, "Odesskaya Heritage" is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality and stable wheat yields.
