Description Centurion
Centurion is a winter-hardy, medium-early winter wheat variety developed in Romania and registered in 2019. It is characterized by high yield, ranging from 37.7 to 70.3 c/ha, and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, especially in dry conditions such as forest-steppe and Polissia. Plant height is 70–75 cm, spike length is 7–8 cm, and the variety exhibits high tillering and good resistance to lodging, contributing to stable harvests.

Centurion has high grain quality: protein content ranges from 13–14%, and gluten content from 27.1 to 30%. The bread-making qualities of this variety are rated as good (category A), confirmed by high sedimentation and hectoliter weight of 79–81 kg. The variety shows high resistance to Fusarium, medium resistance to Septoria and powdery mildew, and medium-high resistance to rust.

Due to its resistance to drought, lodging, and diseases, Centurion is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve maximum productivity under challenging climatic conditions. The recommended seeding rate is 3.2–3.7 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant development and high-quality harvest.
