Description KWS Scirocco
KWS Scirocco wheat is a mid-early maturing variety registered in 2011 and recommended for sowing in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. This variety is distinguished by its high yield potential, reaching up to 76.4 centners per hectare, making it attractive to agricultural producers seeking maximum output. The recommended seeding rate is 370–500 seeds per square meter at a sowing depth of 3–4 cm.

One of the key features of KWS Scirocco is its high protein content, reaching 14.1%, which ensures high flour yield and corresponds to bread-making class E, classified in Ukraine as strong wheat. Due to these characteristics, the variety can be used as a flour improver, enhancing the quality of the final product. The thousand-grain weight is approximately 40.4 g, indicating seed size and quality.

The variety exhibits high resistance to Fusarium head blight, drought, lodging, and shattering, significantly enhancing its reliability and yield stability under various weather conditions. Plant height varies from 65 to 90 cm, ensuring good resistance to lodging. Moreover, KWS Scirocco is a winter-hardy variety, expanding its cultivation possibilities in regions with cold winters.
