Lymarivna

Lymarivna is a medium-early winter wheat variety of intensive type, developed by the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and registered in the state register in 2012. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. Plants reach a height of 96–111 cm, with a yield potential ranging from 8.9 to 11.9 tons per hectare, corresponding to yields up to 100 c/ha. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.5 million viable seeds per hectare.

Lymarivna is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under unfavorable weather conditions. The variety exhibits enhanced resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases and stress factors, including powdery mildew, brown leaf rust, root rot, septoria, fusarium, as well as lodging, shattering, and germination failure in the ear. Resistance levels, assessed by various criteria, are rated 7–9 points, indicating reliable plant protection.

The grain of Lymarivna variety is characterized by high milling and baking qualities, containing 14.0–16.0% protein, with thousand-grain weight varying between 43–47 grams. This makes it universally suitable for various applications in agriculture. To achieve maximum results, it is recommended to adhere to agronomic requirements, including application of optimal doses of mineral fertilizers and protection against pests and diseases.
