Description Laskarina
Wheat variety Laskarina is a two-row steppe ecotype with an intensive medium growth type. The vegetation period of spring forms ranges from 98 to 113 days, while winter forms are comparable in duration to standard varieties. Grain filling lasts 35-40 days, during which the variety shows more uniform grain distribution during filling and effectively utilizes favorable conditions at the end of the vegetation period.

Plants reach a height of 75 to 95 cm and exhibit high lodging resistance, contributing to yield retention. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as brown and stem rust, powdery mildew, as well as increased resistance to pests including the Swedish and Hessian fly. These traits make Laskarina a reliable choice for cultivation under various conditions.

According to variety trials, particularly under irrigation experiments, the variety demonstrated high productivity: grain yield reached 8.7 t/ha, which is 0.56 t/ha higher than the standard Kharkovskaya 30. This indicates the high adaptability and potential of the Laskarina variety to achieve stable and high yields with proper agronomic practices.
