Wheat Collective 3 is a spring wheat variety recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. It was developed by the Myronovskiy Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla and the Institute of Crop Science named after V.Ya. Yuryev of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and registered in 2000. The variety belongs to the medium-late maturing group and is characterized by high grain quality value.
This variety has good yield potential and sufficient protein and gluten content, making it popular among spring crops in Ukraine. Collective 3 is distinguished by resistance to major diseases and drought periods, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. When selecting and cultivating this variety, it is important to consider parameters such as seeding density, lodging resistance, seed treatment requirements, and the cultivation region to achieve maximum profitability.
Wheat Collective 3 is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including northern, southern, central, and western areas, providing profitability of about 30-35%. Unlike winter wheat, which has a long vegetation period, spring wheat, to which Collective 3 belongs, has a short vegetation period of about 100 days. When purchasing seeds, attention should be paid to the variety's reproduction, selection, and adaptability to specific growing conditions, as well as adherence to optimal sowing times and rates for achieving the best results.
