P 9718 E — a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid corn for grain production with a waxy kernel type, intended for grain cultivation and subsequent starch production. The plants are tall with strong stalks, ensuring good resistance to lodging. The grain exhibits an intermediate type with yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part, indicating high raw material quality.

The hybrid demonstrates excellent yield performance under various growing conditions, with an average yield of about 58.2 c/ha, reaching up to 97.6 c/ha. It has moderate drought and heat tolerance, allowing successful cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions. Optimal sowing and harvesting times should be observed, and monoculture should be avoided to maintain high productivity and plant health.

P 9718 E shows high resistance to major corn diseases, including helminthosporium, blister and rust smut, as well as moderate resistance to stalk rot. Recommended planting density at harvest time is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare with adequate moisture, and 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture. This hybrid is suitable for cultivation across all of Ukraine and the North Caucasus region, ensuring stable and high yields.
