Wheat Granova

Granova is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by intermediate maturity and low height. This variety belongs to the Eritrospermum subtype and is distinguished by high yield, reaching an average of 39.9 centners per hectare in the Central region. The thousand-kernel weight varies from 33 to 39 grams, indicating good grain quality. The plant has high spike compactness and lodging resistance, which contributes to stable harvest collection. Ripening occurs in early terms – from 83 to 89 days, and the plant height is average, which facilitates care and harvesting.

Granova is distinguished by its resistance to major wheat diseases: it is resistant to septoria, weakly susceptible to brown rust, and moderately resistant to powdery mildew and root rots. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Central region, including the Bryansk, Kaluga, and Tula regions. The wheat is moderately drought-resistant, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions.

Granova has good baking properties: the raw protein content in the grain is high, while gluten is at an average level, ensuring a high flour yield and quality of the final product.
