100 LET TASSR

The soft spring wheat variety "100 LET TASSR" was bred by scientists of the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture to commemorate the centenary of TASSR. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by a vegetative period of 75 to 89 days and belongs to the lutescens type. It is recommended for cultivation in the Republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, as well as the Orenburg region, and is included in the State Register for the Middle Volga and Ural regions. The variety is distinguished by enhanced drought resistance, which exceeds the average level, and a 1000-grain mass ranging from 38 to 49 grams.

"100 LET TASSR" possesses excellent baking qualities due to high protein and gluten content, making it particularly valuable for bread production. It is resistant to major diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria, ensuring yield stability and reducing the need for intensive plant protection. In terms of yield, this variety surpasses previously known varieties, such as "Yoldyz".

Breeding work on the variety began in 2010 under the leadership of leading institute specialists, which allowed creating a complex genetic combination ensuring high productivity and resistance. The variety has already received wide recognition, and a patent application has been submitted, confirming its unique characteristics and significance for regional agriculture.
