Tarsky Anniversary is a medium-early variety of soft spring wheat, distinguished by high yield and excellent bread-making qualities. The vegetative period lasts 72-86 days, allowing the variety to ripen simultaneously with the Tiumen 25 variety and slightly later than the standards Pamya Azieva and Altayskaya 70. The plant is of medium height with a semi-erect stem and a pyramidal, loose spike of medium density and white color. The grain is large-grained, colored, with the mass of 1000 grains varying from 38 to 46 grams. The variety is characterized by weak infection with brown and stem rust, as well as resistance to powdery bunt, ensuring yield stability under various climatic conditions. The Tarsky Anniversary variety was created by crossing the varieties Omskaya 34 and Aranka, which allowed obtaining material with improved economically valuable properties. It demonstrates high protein and gluten content, exceeding the indicators of standard varieties by an average of 1.95% and 3.6%, respectively. Thanks to this, the grain possesses excellent dough physical properties and high bread-making merits. The average yield of the variety in competitive trials for the period 2014–2019 was 3.54 t/ha, which is 0.10 t/ha higher than the Pamya Azieva standard with a shorter ripening period. Tarsky Anniversary is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, shattering, and root rots, as well as to such diseases as septoria, fusarium, brown and powdery rust. The plant has a weak waxy bloom on the spike and upper internode of the straw, which contributes to its resistance to adverse weather conditions. The spike is cylindrical, 7-9 cm long, with awns of medium length, which ensures good grain formation. All these characteristics make the Tarsky Anniversary variety a valuable choice for cultivation in northern and sub-taiga zones, ensuring a stable and quality yield.
