Winter wheat variety "Gold of Ukraine" is a medium-early, intensive-type cultivar recommended for sowing in the Polissia and forest-steppe regions. This variety was registered in 2016 and developed by the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Its main use is grain production, with grain quality characterized as strong.
The variety has a long vegetation period of 280-284 days and high resistance to various adverse factors. It exhibits high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. Additionally, "Gold of Ukraine" is resistant to lodging, powdery mildew, brown leaf rust, germination in the ear, and shattering. The plant belongs to the erythritolperum variety.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to follow agronomic requirements: the seeding rate should be 5.0-6.0 million viable seeds per hectare. An important aspect of care is protecting plants from pests and diseases, as well as foliar application of urea at a rate of 10-15 kg per hectare during the tillering to milky ripening stage. Seeds are packed in 50 kg bags, which is convenient for storage and transportation.
