GW8008

The hybrid sweet corn GW8008 is designed for cultivation as grain or silage, making it a versatile solution for agriculture. Plants are characterized by a well-developed root system and high resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid demonstrates excellent tolerance to cold and dry conditions, as well as resistance to major corn diseases, significantly reducing cultivation risks.

Plant height varies depending on growing conditions and ranges from 180 to 330 cm, with ears positioned between 70 and 125 cm. Ear length reaches 18-27 cm, with 14 to 18 rows of kernels. The kernels have a crystalline or toothed structure, yellow or orange in color, indicating good quality and nutritional value. The hybrid has high field germination, rapid early growth, and good initial development, promoting successful rooting and plant development.

GW8008 exhibits excellent stay green — leaves remain green even after physiological maturity of the kernels, which facilitates better nutrient accumulation and increased yield. The hybrid effectively utilizes winter soil moisture and quickly releases moisture after husk opening, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. Recommended plant population depends on growing conditions: 62,000-64,000 plants per hectare for dryland cultivation, 80,000-85,000 plants per hectare for irrigated cultivation. GW8008 is suitable for cultivation in the Forest and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine, ensuring high and stable yields.
