Maize GW8008

Yield stability under any conditions

Working with the GU8008 hybrid from Golden West Seed Bulgaria, you realize this material was created with maximum versatility in mind. In the field, it performs predictably, which is crucial when the planting budget is tight and the risk of weather fluctuations is high. As a single cross hybrid with flint-dent grain, it is forgiving of technological slips and delivers a solid result for both commercial grain and silage.

Agrotechnical features and planting density

The main difficulty in corn cultivation is finding the "golden mean" of plant density. For GU8008, the manufacturer offers a flexible range: from 60–65 thousand plants/ha on less fertile soils to 80–85 thousand plants/ha on better ground. In practice, this allows for effective crop rotation planning. The hybrid responds well to intensive care, but does not "collapse" with moderate investment, making it a convenient tool for operational season planning.

• Hybrid type: single cross, ensuring uniform crops and easy harvesting.
• Versatility: equally effective for obtaining high-quality silage and a full-fledged grain harvest.
• Grain: the combination of flint and dent types provides good density and a high starch yield.

A practical perspective

At harvest time, GU8008 is appreciated for not requiring radical combine adjustments. The plant has excellent dry-down properties, which reduces drying costs—an expense that often eats up an farmer's profit. This is a case where the breeding from Golden West Seed Bulgaria works for the real economy of the farm, without requiring excessive effort from the agronomist.
