Era Odeska

Winter wheat variety Era Odeska belongs to the intensive type with universal use on various agro-ecological zones. This medium-height variety has plant height ranging from 92 to 105 cm, semi-erect bush form, and spike length of 9–10 cm with tightly arranged nodes. Spike and stem are white, grain is large, red, egg-shaped with shallow groove. Leaves are green, hairless, with intermediate dimensions in length and width. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, enhanced cold and winter hardiness, as well as high drought and heat tolerance, especially during grain formation. Era Odeska exhibits high yield potential, reaching 7.7–12.0 t/ha under intensive cultivation. The vegetation period is approximately 283–285 days. Thousand-grain weight varies from 38 to 44 g, protein content in grain ranges from 13.8–14.8%, and gluten content from 33.0–36.0%. The variety is recommended for forest-steppe and steppe zones, where it successfully demonstrates its productive qualities. Additionally, the variety shows high resistance to major fungal diseases, including brown and stem rust, septoria, fusarium, and powdery mildew, confirmed by high resistance ratings. The glume is lanceolate-elongated with well-defined venation, and awn length is medium, contributing to plant adaptability under various growing conditions. All these characteristics make Era Odeska a reliable choice for obtaining high-quality grain of strong and ultra-strong wheat.
