Wheat variety Epoxy Odessa is a high-yielding, universal winter soft wheat variety recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine. This medium-maturing variety features a stiff white ear with moderate waxy coating and plant height ranging from 86 to 92 cm. The thousand-grain weight varies between 38.8–42.4 g, and protein content is 14.2–14.4%, ensuring high grain quality.
The variety exhibits high yield potential, reaching up to 72.4 centners per hectare, and shows strong resistance to various stress factors. Epoxy Odessa demonstrates high resistance to lodging, shattering, root rot, and major diseases such as brown, stem, and yellow rust, as well as powdery mildew. The variety’s frost resistance is rated at 8–9 points, enabling successful cultivation in the southern steppe and other dry regions of Ukraine.
Recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.5 million viable seeds per hectare, and the variety performs well on both high and medium fertility soils.
