Wheat Duromax

Maximizing Durum Yields: Working with Duromax

Transitioning to durum wheat requires precision, and Saatzucht Donau’s Duromax variety is built exactly for that. The first thing you notice in the field is the plant's architecture. With a height of only 40-50 cm, lodging is essentially a non-issue.

Disease Resistance and Field Performance

From an operator's perspective, this variety is highly reliable. Even in wet seasons, leaf rust and Septoria remain well under control with standard fungicide applications. It’s an efficient crop that doesn't demand excessive field maintenance, provided the agronomic baseline is met.

Quality and Economic Returns

The bottom line for any farm is the grain quality. Duromax consistently hits over 30% gluten content, making it highly attractive to high-end processors. With a potential yield of 8-9 tons per hectare, it’s a high-performance crop that rewards good management.

• Awned ears ensure proper spike development.
• Compact, short-stature plants optimize energy distribution.
• Consistent premium-grade grain for export markets.

Working with genetics from Saatzucht Donau is straightforward. Duromax is a professional-grade variety that delivers on its promises. It’s a tool for farmers who prioritize consistency and top-tier grain quality. If you are looking for a reliable durum wheat that performs in the field and pays off at the scale, this is a solid choice.
