Wheat Kharkivska 15

Stability as a Breeding Standard

The winter wheat variety "Kharkivska 15", developed by experts at the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of the NAAS, occupies a strong position in the intensive crop segment. It represents a classic of Ukrainian selection, highly valued by farmers who prioritize reliability and yield predictability.

Agronomic Profile

This variety is characterized by its short height (80–90 cm), which, combined with specific stem anatomy, provides excellent resistance to lodging. For farmers, this translates into minimized losses during harvest, even under intensive fertilization regimes.

• Biological Reliability: With a winter hardiness rating of 8, this variety reliably withstands harsh Ukrainian winters.
• Immune Status: Genetic resistance to brown rust, head fusarium, and powdery mildew allows for a reduction in fungicide applications without compromising grain quality.
• Productivity: When grown with proper technological practices, the variety demonstrates a yield potential of 8–9 tons per hectare.

The vegetation period of 90–100 days after the resumption of spring growth makes "Kharkivska 15" a predictable tool for planning agronomic operations. The thousand-kernel weight ranges from 45 to 50 grams, with a gluten content of 20–25%. These parameters confirm the variety's reputation as a balanced choice for consistent grain production.
