Judita wheat is a winter wheat variety developed by the Private Scientific and Production Union "Bor" and registered in the Ukrainian Variety Register in 2007. This variety is distinguished by its high yield and is adapted for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Polissian, forest-steppe, and steppe regions. Judita is resistant to drought, winter conditions, lodging, and shattering, making it a reliable choice for agricultural enterprises.
The variety is characterized by high grain quality with protein content ranging from 15.2% to 17.3% and crude gluten content between 30.0–35.0%. The ears of Judita are long and dense, covered with a waxy coating, and the stems are thick and sturdy, contributing to plant resilience. The grain has a dark color and good husk, which also affects its quality and suitability for further processing.
Judita wheat is widely used in the production of flour, bread, and other food products due to its high-quality grain. The variety is suitable for cultivation on various soil types and in different regions, making it versatile and popular among farmers. The average yield of this variety is approximately 84.8 centners per hectare, confirming its economic efficiency.
