Wheat AFK POWER

Field Analysis: Growing AFK Power Winter Wheat

In practice, this winter wheat variety has proven to be a reliable choice for intensive farming environments.

Disease Resistance and Field Health

The most impressive feature of AFK Power is its performance against fungal threats. Specifically, the variety shows high resistance to brown leaf rust and powdery mildew. In seasons with high humidity—typically a major headache for wheat production—AFK Power maintained healthy leaves significantly longer than other varieties.

Agronomic Performance and Grain Quality

• Lodging Resistance: The variety exhibits strong straw, remaining upright even after heavy pre-harvest rain. This is crucial for maximizing combine efficiency and minimizing grain loss at the header.
• Grain Quality: Gluten content consistently measures between 25-30%, meeting high standards for milling quality without the need for post-harvest blending.
• Development: As a winter variety developed by breeders Volodymyr Bahatchenko and Leonid Tsentylo, it demonstrates excellent tillering capacity and rapid spring recovery.

From an operator's perspective, AFK Power is a 'workhorse' variety. It is highly responsive to fertilizer programs, allowing for precision nutrient management. The material supplied by AF Kolos ensures high germination rates and uniform stand development, which simplifies weed control and early-season field management. It is a robust option for farmers looking to minimize risk while maintaining high-quality output.
