Wheat Marble

Reliability and Field Performance

The 'Marmurovyi' winter wheat variety, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (Ukraine), is built for practical, large-scale farming. From an operator’s perspective, it offers a predictable growth cycle and high structural integrity. One of its standout features is its resistance to lodging, which is a major advantage during harvest—it allows for efficient, high-speed combine operations and reduces grain loss significantly.

Key Operational Advantages

• Hardiness: Exceptional winter hardiness ensures crop survival through harsh conditions, saving time and capital on potential reseeding.
• Disease Management: The variety displays high natural resistance to major cereal diseases, such as leaf rust and powdery mildew. This allows for a more flexible and cost-effective fungicide spraying schedule.
• Yield Potential: When managed with standard intensive agronomic practices, it consistently delivers high-quality yields suitable for milling, maximizing profitability per hectare.

For the modern grower, 'Marmurovyi' is a workhorse that balances the need for high output with ease of management. Its adaptive nature allows it to perform consistently across varied soil types, making it an excellent choice for optimizing input costs while maintaining a high yield threshold.
