Wheat Kharkivska 26

Stable Yields in Drought Conditions

"Kharkivska 26" is a classic variety of Ukrainian selection from the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, which remains a benchmark for elasticity in spring wheat cultivation. Unlike many intensive foreign hybrids that require perfect conditions, this variety demonstrates remarkable resistance to the environmental stresses typical of steppe and forest-steppe zones.

Agronomic Profile

• Vegetation period: 90-100 days. Early ripening allows the crop to avoid the critical heat of July, providing a significant competitive edge over medium-ripening alternatives.
• Productivity Potential: 8-9 tons per hectare. In field conditions, the variety exhibits high grain-filling stability, successfully realizing its genetic potential even under severe water competition.
• Phytosanitary Defense: Breeders have incorporated a robust barrier against leaf rust and powdery mildew. This significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, which is essential for production profitability.

Who is this variety for?

"Kharkivska 26" is the choice for farmers focused on risk mitigation. If your farm is located in an area with unpredictable rainfall, this variety serves as a reliable insurance asset. It is forgiving of minor timing errors during sowing and does not require costly high-input protection technologies. Despite the maturity of its selection, the variety remains highly sought-after due to its predictable outcomes: you get high-quality grain regardless of the season's weather surprises.
